After all the major bugs and issues are resolved, 343 Industries will release ODST on Steam. If you are not interested in the flight and only want to play the proper final release, then you are going to have to wait for a couple of weeks or even a month. However, being a member still doesn’t guarantee access, it only increases the chances. You will have to be a member of the Halo Flight Program to get access to the beta. You can only play ODST right now on PC if you are invited. The announcement for the beta was made via the official Halo Twitter account.

It is currently in closed beta so there might be several bugs. Halo 3: ODST is currently in flight mode, which is just another term for Beta Testing. Now you can play the amazing game in all its glory on your PC. ODST was initially launched for Xbox 360 back in 2009, and was later ported to Xbox One via the Master Chief Collection. The beta testing for the spin-off title began yesterday for PC and Xbox One. You can now finally play Halo 3: ODST on PC.
